Clearaudio Solution (GBP 1310.00 exc arm and cart)

The Solution might well be relatively inexpensive, but Clearaudio haven't compromised on that amazing Germanic standard of finish. This deck is a delight of contrasting metal and Acrylic- it's so cool - and unlike certain superficially similar British turntables, it's nicely understated.

So, what do you get? A solid acrylic precision platter with recess for record label, attached to an inverted bronze plated hardened steel bearing. The motor is completely outboard and can be positioned where required. Pulley steps are provided for 33.3 and 45rpm.

The armboard, also acrylic, attaches to one of the three supports, and as you can probably deduce, it is possible to support three tonearms simultaneously, should the fancy take you!

We recommend you go for a Rega arm to complete the deck - they work very nicely with the Solution, and are capable of taking some quite exotic MC cartridges. Alternatively, you could opt for the Audio Note silver wired Rega for even better performance. Armboards are also available for almost any arm.

Lastly, a simple plastic clamp is provided to mate the record closely with the platter.

The feet are formed from cones, and there is no real isolation, so, like all non-suspended decks of this type, it's up to you to provide a good support for deck and motor.
